Electrical Pre-Construction Manager

About the role

The Electrical Pre-Construction Manager will lead the electrical pre‑construction and bid management process for large‑scale, technically complex projects across Europe. You will shape design strategy, commercial positioning and delivery from the earliest stages while working closely with senior leadership, clients and key supply‑chain partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical pre‑construction activities from enquiry through to project handover.
• Develop winning strategies for Electrical and full M&E Design & Build tenders.
• Coordinate estimators, design engineers, planners and bid teams.
• Review technical specifications, drawings and tender documentation.
• Manage electrical design development and ensure technical compliance throughout tender stages.
• Identify project risks, long‑lead equipment needs and programme constraints.
• Drive value‑engineering opportunities and innovative electrical solutions.
• Engage with key electrical manufacturers and subcontractors.
• Control tender programmes and ensure timely, compliant submissions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and tender interviews.
• Support seamless handover to Operations and Project Delivery teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Electrical Building Services or M&E.
• At least 5 years in a pre‑construction, senior estimating or electrical bid management role.
• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management.
• Strong commercial awareness of JCT/NEC contracts.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
