Event Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Event Manager to join Horizons by TPG in Dublin. The role involves planning, coordinating and delivering a range of tourism and MICE events, ensuring they meet client expectations, budgets and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and cost proposals for clients, respond to RFPs promptly, maintain project timelines and coordinate all aspects of each event.
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensure compliance with industry standards and implement emergency plans.
• Track project performance against targets, KPIs and Personal Development Reviews.
• Prepare and update operational itineraries, book services within client programmes and budgets, and oversee logistics including site inspections and familiarisation trips.
• Manage travel for site inspections and live events nationally and internationally, with occasional evenings and weekends.
• Administer event budgets, negotiate rates with suppliers, track costs, reconcile finances and process invoices for suppliers and clients.
• Build and maintain strong client and supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and represent the company at industry events.
• Stay informed on domestic venues and activities, and integrate sustainable practices into event operations.

Required profile

• Experience in tourism, operations or event management.
• Ability to take full ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Capability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• High proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility, adaptability and keen attention to detail.
