Receptionist – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

Join the team at The Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel as a Receptionist, providing first‑class service to guests in a historic 4‑star city‑centre property. You will be the face of the hotel, ensuring smooth front‑office operations and memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in and check‑out guests efficiently at the reception desk.
• Handle guest enquiries, resolve issues and process payments on departure.
• Organise group and tour arrivals, allocating rooms and managing large bookings.
• Answer reservation calls when required and maintain accurate front‑office records.
• Uphold company brand standards and deliver consistent, high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Positive, professional and friendly demeanor with strong customer‑care focus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
• Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience in a similar front‑office role, preferably in a 4‑star hotel.

Required skills

• Experience with Hotsoft (desirable).
