Financial Services Partner – Investment Funds & Regulation

About the role

Our client, a leading Irish full‑service law firm, is seeking a Partner to lead and expand its Investment Funds & Financial Services Regulatory practice. This senior position offers the autonomy to shape strategy, develop new service lines and build a lasting professional legacy in Ireland’s financial services market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex fund structuring mandates across private equity, hedge funds, venture capital and real estate.
• Develop and manage strategic relationships with institutional and entrepreneurial investment managers.
• Advise on innovative fund structures, including ESG‑focused, fintech and digital‑asset vehicles.
• Drive the creation and growth of an ETF practice.
• Structure and negotiate sophisticated debt issuance programmes, including green bonds and multi‑series secured notes.
• Provide regulatory guidance to investment managers and financial services entities, leading authorisation applications with the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Navigate compliance under MiFID II, AIFMD, UCITS, SFDR and related frameworks.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 8‑10+ years post‑qualification experience in investment funds, financial services regulation or debt capital markets.
• Proven track record of managing high‑value transactions and regulatory mandates.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Leadership ambition to build and own practice areas.
