Fire & Operations Officer – Airport Services

About the role

The Fire & Operations Officer provides essential fire safety and operational support at a busy airport environment. This position is ideal for ground‑staff looking to progress into a specialised safety role.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day Airport Fire & Operations Services activities.
• Maintain fire equipment, vehicles and related assets to required standards.
• Execute Airport Fire Service procedures such as fire tender inspections, breathing‑apparatus checks, runway inspections and ramp safety.
• Carry out Airport Operations duties including cash handling, security patrols, baggage‑hold searches, passenger screening support and CCTV monitoring.
• Complete and keep all manuals, documents and records in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Liaise with Duty Officers to ensure smooth airport operations and report accidents promptly.
• Familiarise with Emergency Crash Orders and Security Contingency Plans.
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by Duty Officers.
