About the role
The Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join its Front Office team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience throughout their stay.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and manage the check‑in and check‑out processes efficiently.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to email enquiries and provide accurate information about the hotel’s services.
- Handle reservations, cancellations and modifications using the hotel’s front‑desk system.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled.
- Process payments, issue invoices and maintain accurate guest records.
Required profile
- Confident, well‑presented individual with a strong customer‑service orientation.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mid‑week and weekend days.
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences.
