General Manager – Processing

About the role

The General Manager – Processing will lead all processing and fixed‑plant maintenance activities at Simberi’s open‑cut gold operation. Reporting to the Executive General Manager, you will ensure safe, efficient and cost‑effective delivery of processing operations while aligning plant maintenance and reliability teams with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Processing Operations and Fixed Plant Maintenance teams to meet production and financial targets.
• Oversee process planning, scheduling and production execution to maximise productivity and resource utilisation.
• Mentor and develop managers and direct reports, including succession planning for key positions.
• Implement equipment maintenance strategies that deliver maximum availability and reliability.
• Act as Deputy Registered Manager and step‑in for the Executive General Manager when required, ensuring compliance with the Mining Act.
• Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to senior leadership.
• Coordinate resources across processing and maintenance to align with corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in mining or processing environments.
• Strong track record of achieving production, safety and cost targets.
• Ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams in a FIFO setting.
• Excellent communication skills and experience reporting to executive management.
