Global Transactions Tax and Advisory – All Levels

About the role

Our Global Corporate Transactions Tax and Advisory (CTTA) team in Dublin is expanding and is looking for professionals at all experience levels to join Alvarez & Marsal’s Tax practice. The role involves delivering sophisticated tax planning and advisory services on high‑stakes cross‑border transactions, acquisitions, divestitures, spin‑offs and joint ventures for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax matters.
• Identify tax risk areas and collaborate with the Managing Director to design mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with tax specialists across other practice areas to provide integrated advice.
• Deliver comprehensive transaction‑tax advisory, meeting client‑driven or Managing Director deadlines.
• Design tax‑efficient structures for M&A, divestitures, spin‑offs and joint ventures.
• Conduct tax due‑diligence reviews to uncover risks and opportunities before deal closure.
• Support post‑deal integration, including legal‑entity rationalisation, IP alignment and supply‑chain optimisation.
• Assist internal restructuring projects to improve corporate efficiency and prepare for future transactions.
• Develop cross‑border tax planning solutions for multinational clients.

Required profile

• Bright, diligent and action‑oriented with a hands‑on approach.
• Background in transaction tax and domestic/international tax planning.
• Strong ability to quickly establish, develop and enhance client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
