Hotel Night Porter

About the role

The Montenotte, a luxury urban resort in Cork, is seeking an experienced Night Porter to join its overnight team. You will be the first point of contact for guests during the night shift (23:00‑07:00) and help maintain the hotel’s high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overnight service to hotel guests, answering requests and telephone enquiries.
• Perform night reception duties, including check‑in/check‑out support.
• Conduct night security and fire walks, reporting any issues.
• Carry out night cleaning of public and exterior areas.
• Assist with room service and adhere to food handling regulations.
• Set up meeting and function rooms as required.
• Support other hotel departments when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel night porter or similar night‑shift hospitality role.
• Good conversational English for guest and team communication.
• High standard of personal grooming and professional appearance.
• Ability to work the night shift (23:00‑07:00) reliably.
