Deli Assistant – Full‑Time (Night & Day Shifts)

About the role

We are looking for a Deli Assistant to join our MAXOL store in Wilton, County Cork. The role is full‑time and requires flexibility to work both night and day shifts, ensuring the fresh‑food department runs smoothly and meets high standards of hygiene and customer service. You will work closely with store managers and team members to deliver a high‑quality deli experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the fresh‑food section efficiently, preparing and presenting deli items.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards at all times.
• Serve customers promptly, providing product information and ensuring satisfaction.
• Stock shelves, rotate stock and manage inventory of fresh products.
• Handle cash transactions for deli purchases.
• Ensure product labeling is accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Monitor temperature controls and storage conditions.
• Clean work areas and equipment according to health regulations.

Required profile

• Willingness to work flexible night and day shifts.
• Previous experience in a fresh‑food or deli environment is beneficial.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a strong sense of reliability.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a retail team.
