HR Generalist – 2‑Year Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The HR Generalist will support Abbott Ireland’s Diagnostic Division by delivering core HR programmes and providing first‑line guidance to employees and managers. Working closely with the HR Manager, Business Partners and Centres of Excellence, the role ensures smooth HR service delivery and contributes to a positive employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support cyclical HR processes such as performance management, merit reviews and headcount tracking.
• Assist with onboarding, off‑boarding and other employee‑lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems and generate required reports.
• Respond to employee and manager queries via the shared HR inbox, escalating when necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and HR initiatives across the organization.
• Provide operational support for HR projects, reporting and coordination activities.

Required profile

• Experience in an HR generalist or similar operational HR role.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes and employment legislation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with HR partners and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
