Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support HR operations across eight clinic locations, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law, GDPR, and healthcare regulations. This role combines recruitment, employee relations, audit preparation, and health & safety leadership in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with HR‑related audits, preparing documentation and maintaining audit‑ready personnel files.
• Support compliance audits covering employment law, GDPR, right‑to‑work, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Act as the designated Health & Safety lead, overseeing risk assessments, incident reporting, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain HR policies and ensure alignment with Irish employment law and healthcare regulations.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for all clinic locations.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, absence, and disciplinary matters.
• Monitor sick leave, conduct return‑to‑work interviews, and coordinate with payroll.
• Track annual leave, approve requests, and flag patterns to managers.
• Issue employment contracts, manage renewals, and process Garda vetting and work permits.
• Support performance reviews, probation processes, and training plans.
• Conduct workstation ergonomics assessments and recommend adjustments.
• Maintain accurate HR records, provide reporting, and drive staff engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in healthcare or a multi‑site setting.
• CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment law, GDPR, and WRC processes.
• Experience processing work permits and employment visas in Ireland.
• Familiarity with Garda vetting procedures is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage absence, sick leave, and return‑to‑work processes.
• Comfortable handling high volumes of queries across multiple locations.
• Full, clean driving licence for travel between sites.
