Instructor – Tralee Day Services (26 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Instructor to join our Tralee Day Services team on a part-time, maternity-leave cover basis. Working 26 hours per week, you will support adults with intellectual disabilities to achieve their personal goals and participate fully in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support and personal care in line with New Directions standards.
• Plan, coordinate and document daily activities and individualised care plans.
• Complete accurate reports and digital records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
• Collaborate with families, internal teams and external agencies to promote inclusion.
• Provide physical assistance, including personal care, while encouraging hobbies and life-skill development.

Required profile

• Level 7 degree (or equivalent) and at least one year post‑qualification experience supporting adults with intellectual disability.
• Strong knowledge of New Directions, the Disability Act 2005, Health & Safety legislation and data protection regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Full driver’s licence and willingness to drive association vehicles.
• Legal right to work in Ireland.
