Junior DevOps Engineer – Jenkins (Cork, Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer with a focus on Jenkins to join our CI/CD infrastructure team in Cork. The role will support large‑scale machine‑learning verification by operating and administering the Jenkins platform that underpins software validation across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Jenkins as a production CI service, ensuring high availability, stability and responsiveness.
• Administer Jenkins jobs, pipelines, plugins and system updates.
• Triage CI failures, identify root causes and work with teams to resolve issues.
• Scale and manage Jenkins agents, node lifecycle and resource utilization.
• Maintain and improve CI signal quality and overall system reliability.
• Develop automation and tooling to reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support CI/CD workflows and enhance pipeline stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD or software engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, build, test and pipeline execution.
• Experience administering Jenkins, including pipelines and plugin management.
• Proficiency working in Linux environments and troubleshooting system‑level issues.
