Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading mechanical contractor delivering large‑scale installations across Dublin and occasional projects throughout Europe. You will support the engineering team in design, procurement and on‑site execution of building services systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the development of design solutions and resolve engineering queries.
• Support procurement activities, equipment selection and material approvals.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth installation of HVAC, piping and other mechanical systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in building services, construction or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping and mechanical installations.

Required skills

• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with BIM software, specifically Revit and Navisworks.
