Graduate Design Engineer – Civil/Electrical/Structural

About the role

Europlan Group is looking for recent graduates to join its civil, structural and electrical design teams in Dublin. As a Graduate Design Engineer you will work on a variety of infrastructure and building projects, receiving structured training, mentoring and hands‑on experience in design, coordination and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in the design and delivery of civil, structural and electrical projects.
• Assist in preparing design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Contribute to concept and detailed designs in line with project requirements and standards.
• Help coordinate between disciplines such as civil, electrical, mechanical and project teams.
• Support compliance with health & safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in site visits, surveys and inspections as needed.
• Assist in responding to technical queries and maintaining project documentation.
• Use engineering software and tools under guidance and supervision.
• Engage actively in training, mentoring and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or above) in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong interest in engineering design and project delivery.
• Good problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a professional engineering environment.
• Relevant placement, internship or summer work experience (desirable).
• Basic understanding of Irish/UK engineering standards and regulations (desirable).
• Interest in pursuing Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (desirable).
