Lecturer – Animation & Motion Design

About the role

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) – Ireland’s third technological university – is looking for a Lecturer in Animation & Motion Design. With a community of roughly 15,000 students and 2,000 staff across seven campuses, TUS was established on 1 October 2021 and achieved a QS 5‑Star rating in February 2024. TUS has a strong regional focus and acts as a key driver of development and investment across the Midlands and Midwest. The successful candidate will join the academic team at the Georges Quay Campus in Limerick, delivering animation and motion‑design education while also supporting teaching activities on other TUS campuses as needed. The position may be offered on a permanent, fixed‑term or specified‑purpose contract basis, and staff benefits are provided in line with university policy. Applicants will contribute to the university’s mission of expanding access to higher education throughout the Midlands and Midwest region of Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver teaching in Animation & Motion Design.
• Based primarily at Georges Quay Campus, Limerick.
• Occasionally attend other TUS campuses as required.
