Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at UNSW

About the role

The School of Information Systems & Technology Management at UNSW Business School is hiring two tenure‑track academic positions – Lecturer (Level B) and Senior Lecturer (Level C) – in Information Systems, Business Analytics or Operations Management. The role is based on the Kensington campus in New South Wales, Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑quality teaching in technical and business‑analytics subjects.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in leading IS or OM venues.
• Engage with national and international academic communities.
• Contribute to departmental leadership, service and professional activities.
• Report to the Head of School; no direct reports.

Required profile

• PhD in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Operations Management or a closely related field, to be completed by end‑2026.
• Demonstrated record of publishing in top IS/OM conferences and journals.
• Experience teaching technical subjects such as cybersecurity, AI, databases, networking or business‑analytics courses; UX design experience is a plus.
• Commitment to staying current with developments in the discipline.
