Maintenance Assistant – Hotel & Grounds

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Manager in keeping Sheen Falls Lodge and its surrounding grounds in top condition. You will work on a variety of tasks to ensure the building systems run smoothly and the property remains safe and attractive for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and replace defective equipment parts and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Monitor building systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent deterioration.
• Assemble, install and repair pipe systems, plumbing, and related equipment.
• Carry out painting, roof, gutter, window, door, floor, woodwork, plaster and drywall repairs as required.
• Support electrical, boiler, generator and general carpentry tasks across the hotel and grounds.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in plumbing and general maintenance.
• Formal qualification or extensive experience in plumbing.
• Valid, clean driver’s licence.
• Ability to work independently, follow written and oral directives and prioritise tasks without close supervision.
