Maintenance Technician – Automated Vial & Syringe Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the reliable operation of Viatris' automated vial and syringe filling lines. You will be responsible for set‑up, preventive maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement of equipment in a GMP‑compliant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, planned maintenance and troubleshooting of automated vial and syringe filling equipment.
• Maintain plant equipment and utilities, documenting all work to GMP standards.
• Coordinate external contractors for equipment installations and service visits.
• Manage spare parts, consumables and service contracts to keep schedules compliant.
• Develop and promote a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategy using FMECA/FMEA, trend analysis, control charts and data review.
• Create and update maintenance and calibration documentation (PM plans, data sheets, work instructions, troubleshooting guides).
• Support safety, quality and change‑management investigations, including CAPA implementation.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet cGMP and EHS regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience maintaining automated pharmaceutical filling equipment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and cGMP/EHS compliance.
• Ability to work with external contractors and manage spare‑part inventories.
• Familiarity with reliability‑centered maintenance and failure‑mode analysis methodologies.
