About the role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join the Finance Team within the Research and Innovation Directorate of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The role will be based at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley and will involve delivering professional financial management services to a range of stakeholders in health, academia and industry.
Key responsibilities
- Manage financial information, reporting and budgetary control processes.
- Maintain governance arrangements and ensure compliance with NHS financial policies.
- Provide financial advice and detailed guidance to finance and non‑finance managers.
- Supervise and support a small team to meet key deliverables and strict timelines.
- Contribute to innovative projects shaping the future of healthcare.
Required profile
- Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience working within the NHS or a similarly large, complex organisation.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload while supervising others.
- Strong analytical and innovative thinking with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Required skills
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with financial reporting tools.
- Computer literacy and strong Excel capabilities.
