Mechanical Contracts Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Contracts Manager to lead a portfolio of mechanical building‑services projects across Ireland and Europe. You will own delivery from pre‑construction handover through to final completion, handover and the end of the defects liability period.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for operational and commercial performance of multiple mechanical projects.
• Lead delivery teams on‑site, ensuring compliance with company standards, programme requirements and client expectations.
• Allocate Project Managers, site teams, labour and specialist subcontractors.
• Monitor progress against JCT/NEC contract obligations, recording delays, variations and notices.
• Work with the commercial team on monthly CVRs, spend forecasting and profitability.
• Identify risks early and implement recovery plans.
• Chair senior progress meetings with clients, consultants and main contractors.
• Conduct site visits, safety inspections and audits.
• Oversee commissioning, snagging, handover and defects close‑out.
• Capture lessons learned for future project improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience in project or contracts management within the building‑services sector.
• Mechanical background on large‑scale commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical or data‑centre projects.
• Good commercial awareness, including CVRs, variations, forecasting and margin protection.
• Ability to manage multiple live projects or a regional portfolio.
• Working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
