Mechanical Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

About the role
You will lead and manage the mechanical scope of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing design coordination, installation, commissioning and handover. Working within an integrated project delivery team, you will ensure safety, quality and schedule compliance on site.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and execute all mechanical works for treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and process installations.
- Manage mechanical subcontractors and direct labour to meet specifications, safety standards and programme requirements.
- Oversee installation of pumps, blowers, screens, pipework, valves, chemical dosing systems, tanks, HVAC and odour control equipment.
- Maintain health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards across all project activities.
- Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, suppliers and regulatory stakeholders.
- Prepare baseline programmes, update schedules and use Microsoft Project for programme management.
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in a similar mechanical project role, preferably in water/wastewater.
- Level 8 Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science or Chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
- Full driving licence.
Required skills

- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Baseline programme preparation and updates.
