Pharmacist – Outpatient & Inpatient Pharmacy

About the role

The Pharmacist will ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medications for both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) services, supporting clinical teams and maintaining compliance with NABH, JCI, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications to outpatients and inpatients with precision.
• Verify prescriptions for correct dosage, interactions, and appropriateness.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and adherence.
• Maintain detailed dispensing records and narcotics logs.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages or expiries, and assist with stock audits.
• Ensure proper storage conditions, including temperature and security.
• Support internal and external audits and document medication errors or adverse reactions.
• Provide drug information to clinicians and participate in pharmacy committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory); M.Pharm in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy preferred.
• Valid pharmacy license/registration (e.g., PCI in India).
• 3–5 years of experience in outpatient or hospital pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with electronic prescription systems and hospital information systems.
