About the role

The Pharmacy Healthcare Advisor will join the Allcare Hughes team in Clane, delivering high‑quality customer service and expert advice across the full range of pharmacy products. Working under the guidance of the Managing Pharmacist, you will help maintain product standards, stock control and a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate product information and health advice to customers, consulting the Managing Pharmacist when needed.
• Maintain stock levels, rotate inventory, and ensure correct deliveries according to pharmacy standards.
• Deliver professional, efficient service that enhances customer relationships and promotes the pharmacy’s reputation.
• Assist in all areas of pharmacy operations, including cash handling, health‑and‑safety compliance, and cleanliness.
• Use WWHAM questioning to assess over‑the‑counter medicine needs and refer to the Pharmacist for prescription‑only items.
• Participate in training programmes and proactively develop your role within the team.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and adapt to varying pharmacy tasks.
• Attention to detail in stock management and compliance with safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from senior pharmacy staff.

Required skills

• Knowledge of over‑the‑counter medicines and pharmacy product ranges.
• Proficiency in stock control practices, including rotation and inventory monitoring.
• Ability to apply WWHAM questioning technique for medication advice.
