Post Primary Teacher – Maths, Business & Irish (16 hrs/week)

About the role

The Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board is seeking a qualified post‑primary teacher to deliver Mathematics, Business Studies and Irish language programmes at Meánscoil San Nioclás. This is a pro‑rated, part‑time position for the 2026/27 academic year, designed for a two‑person job‑share arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum content for Maths, Business and Irish in accordance with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.
• Provide differentiated learning support to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross‑subject initiatives and contribute to whole‑school improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in parent‑teacher communication.
• Engage in professional development activities and adhere to school policies.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status with registration on the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Mathematics, Business Studies, Irish or related fields.
• Experience teaching at post‑primary level is desirable.
• Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to work effectively in a job‑share model.
