About the role

The Precision Medicine Director will shape and execute precision‑medicine strategies that support Novartis’ neuroscience clinical programs. Working in a hybrid setting, you will act as a scientific and strategic partner, ensuring high‑quality biomarker and diagnostic initiatives across global trials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align precision‑medicine strategies with disease‑area and program objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional biomarker sub‑teams covering molecular epidemiology, assay development, and data analysis.
• Serve as a core member of global clinical teams and provide subject‑matter expertise.
• Contribute to companion‑diagnostic target product profiles and development plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery of biomarker programs.
• Author biomarker and diagnostic sections of clinical development documents.
• Support regulatory submissions as a precision‑medicine and biomarker expert.
• Facilitate collaborations with external academic and scientific partners.
• Ensure compliance with medical‑device regulations and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience in clinical research, clinical trials, or precision medicine within life sciences.
• Proven track record leading cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of biomarker strategies, companion diagnostics, and clinical development processes.
• Experience working in regulated environments and with global regulatory standards.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and risk‑management capabilities.
