Preconstruction Planner

About the role

Collen is seeking a Preconstruction Planner to join its hybrid pre‑construction team. The role supports bid and early delivery functions on large‑scale data centre, pharma, power, public works and commercial projects, helping shape delivery strategy from the outset.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain programme schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Translate construction drawings into logical sequences and programme logic.
• Support tender documentation, programming, commissioning plans and look‑ahead schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractor logistics, access and resourcing during the pre‑construction phase.
• Collaborate with senior planners to challenge assumptions and optimise delivery strategies.

Required profile

• Junior or intermediate planner with experience in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, or site engineer/MEP coordinator/site manager looking to move into planning.
• Hands‑on delivery experience and understanding of how projects are built.
• Curious, organised and able to interpret drawings, method statements and tender documents.
• Strong communicator comfortable asking questions and working under deadlines.
