Quality Control Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join a well‑established food manufacturing site in Athy, Co. Kildare. The role supports laboratory testing, raw material approvals, product quality checks, and ongoing manufacturing trials for juice powders, flavourings, and ingredient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine QC laboratory testing such as Brix, pH, turbidity and related wet‑chemistry analysis.
• Test incoming raw materials and finished products against defined specifications.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, documentation and manage retained samples, COAs and inventory.
• Support HACCP, GMP and GLP compliance activities.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the QC function.

Required profile

• Degree qualification in Food Science, Chemistry, Quality or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in wet‑chemistry or bench testing within food, beverage, manufacturing or laboratory environments.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Effective communication and computer skills.
• Residence within a realistic commuting distance to Athy (approximately 40 minutes).
