Quality System Specialist – 12‑month contract in Cork

About the role

The Quality System Specialist will support the execution of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) processes in Cork for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working closely with internal teams and external customers, the role ensures that all quality processes meet regulatory, customer and business requirements while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute assigned quality system processes, ensuring compliance with site, sector and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with customers and process owners to implement investigations, corrective actions and documentation in a timely manner.
• Collect, analyse and present quality metrics and dashboards for metric review meetings.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose simplifications and lead process optimisation initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits, conduct internal audits where required, and address audit findings.
• Participate in investigations and corrective‑action implementation for quality issues.
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and communicate GMP and QMS procedures to all staff.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong planning, organisational and influencing abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organisational levels.
• Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities and maintain high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GMP and QSR regulations.
• In‑depth understanding of Quality Management Systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods and quality‑tool utilisation.
• Experience preparing presentations, reports and dashboards.
