About the role
Cornmarket is seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors and callers. You will ensure a warm welcome for guests, manage front‑desk logistics and provide administrative support across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Meet and greet all customers and visitors, notifying relevant staff of their arrival.
- Answer, direct and take messages for phone calls, ensuring timely follow‑up.
- Order couriers, maintain a courier log and sign for deliveries.
- Provide administrative assistance to the Personal Insurance department and other teams as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about company services.
- Schedule appointments, book meeting rooms and keep the reception area tidy.
- Maintain office security by controlling building access and issuing visitor badges.
Required profile
- Previous receptionist or administrative experience desired but not mandatory.
- Professional and friendly demeanour with a strong telephone manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Resourceful, proactive attitude and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
