Sea Freight Operator

About the role

cargo-partner is seeking an experienced Sea Freight Operator to join its Dublin operations team. You will manage daily import and export sea cargo cases, keep clients informed on shipment status, and ensure all transport and customs documentation is accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day sea cargo import and export shipments, following dispatch and delivery procedures.
• Issue, monitor and collect transport documents required for shipment dispatch.
• Coordinate customs warehouse admission, export clearance, vessel loading and final dispatch.
• Prepare rate offers for customers and partners when needed.
• Interact with customers, agents, shipping carriers and customs authorities to book, track and resolve shipment issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in ocean import or export freight forwarding.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to communicate shipment status clearly.
• Positive, team‑focused attitude with willingness to learn new tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CargoWise freight forwarding software.
• Good knowledge of customs procedures for sea shipments.
