Senior Accountant – Practice

About the role

Our client is a mid‑tier accounting practice in Trim offering audit, advisory and accounting services. The Senior Accountant will join a collaborative, growth‑focused team, managing a diverse client portfolio while delivering high‑quality financial reporting, tax compliance and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements and tax filings for a varied client base in line with statutory and firm standards.
• Provide accounting, compliance and advisory services, building strong client relationships and delivering commercially focused insights.
• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring full compliance and offering practical advice.
• Mentor junior colleagues through coaching, feedback and knowledge sharing to maintain efficient internal processes.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 1 year post‑qualification experience in a professional practice.
• Strong technical grounding in Irish GAAP and familiarity with FRS 102.
• Solid understanding of Irish tax compliance for individuals and companies.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
