Senior Consultant – Financial Control

About the role

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Financial Control team within the Omnium Services Group EMEA. The role offers exposure to a fast‑paced environment serving sophisticated hedge‑fund clients and provides a full‑cycle view of trade execution, fund administration, and shared‑service collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Fund Accounting – prepare and review operating expenses, produce month‑end close packs, validate NAVs and accounting records, and liaise with clients and internal teams.
• Investor Accounting – allocate profit and loss across share classes, calculate management and performance fees, and ensure timely, accurate investor statements.
• Financial Reporting – assist in annual financial statement preparation, work directly with external auditors, and coordinate audit requests with shared services.
• Regulatory Reporting – support monthly and quarterly regulatory filings, and contribute to projects that enhance HFS regulatory reporting for MMIF, FVCs, and SPVs.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or working towards qualification.
• Knowledge of hedge‑fund and alternative‑investment structures is advantageous.
• Understanding of financial reporting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS.
