Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and review of electrical systems for a variety of high‑profile projects, including data centres, pharma facilities, industrial plants and commercial developments. You will work within a reputable Irish mechanical and electrical contractor, supporting both internal teams and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review electrical system layouts across all project phases.
• Provide technical guidance and peer‑review to junior electrical engineers.
• Lead projects and represent the client in technical meetings.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on emerging technologies.
• Ensure quality systems are applied on every project.
• Support business development, including bid preparation and client interviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent accreditation.
• Minimum 10 years (ideally 15+) of electrical building‑services design experience.
• Strong business acumen and decision‑making ability.
• Excellent communication skills across multidisciplinary teams and with external clients.
