Senior Employment Counsel – Dublin

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join TikTok’s Global Legal team in Dublin. The role will support HR and business stakeholders across Ireland, the UK and the wider EMEA region, providing strategic legal advice on all aspects of the employment relationship.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business teams, shaping employment policies and practices in Ireland/UK and across EMEA.
• Provide counsel on recruitment, global mobility, workplace investigations, terminations and employment disputes.
• Collaborate with Global Legal colleagues to deliver coordinated advice on regional and global initiatives.
• Support the company’s growth agenda by delivering risk‑based, business‑focused legal solutions.
• Draft and review employment policies, agreements and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws.
• Design and deliver internal training on employment‑law matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in Ireland or the UK with at least 5 years of employment‑law experience.
• Significant experience in private practice at a leading firm and/or in‑house legal department.
• Proven ability to handle cross‑border employment issues, including collective employment rights such as works councils and trade unions.
• Comfortable advising on GDPR matters and working with data‑privacy counsel.
• Excellent judgment, integrity, communication and legal‑writing skills.
• Strong team player able to manage a varied workload and prioritize effectively.
