Site Engineer – Augmented Reality (Athlone)

About the role

XYZXYZ Reality is seeking a Site Engineer to join its fast‑growing team in Athlone. You will use the Atom AR headset to visualise BIM models on‑site, identify clashes, and ensure construction works match the design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections with the Atom augmented‑reality headset, verifying installations against the BIM model.
• Set and traverse control points using a total station.
• Communicate findings to clients and contractors, producing daily inspection reports.
• Attend coordination meetings and help plan daily activities.
• Process and review acquired data for accuracy and reliability.
• Report to the Field Operations Manager and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Collaborate with contractors to create a weekly look‑ahead of inspections aligned with the master construction programme.
• Prepare approved Revit models for export into HoloSite.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a field engineering or surveying role.
• Relevant qualification in construction, land surveying, civil or geospatial engineering (preferred but not essential).
• Strong work ethic, ambition and interest in emerging technology.
• Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background and drug checks.
