Software Engineer – Data Apps & FrontEnd (AI & Data Platforms)

About the role

Apple’s AI & Data Platforms team is looking for a Software Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance data applications that provide business‑critical metrics with low latency and an excellent user experience. You will build rich, interactive front‑end interfaces that combine analytics and generative AI to make complex data accessible and actionable.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test and ship end‑to‑end data applications from concept to production.
• Collaborate with business partners to translate strategy and requirements into functional solutions.
• Lead technical discussions and drive design decisions across development teams.
• Integrate open‑source technologies with Apple’s proprietary infrastructure.
• Maintain and evolve RESTful service layers and front‑end components.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and understand workflow needs.

Required skills

• ReactJS (or AngularJS, Vue.js) for front‑end development.
• Node.js for server‑side JavaScript.
• HTML5 and CSS3 for rich user interfaces.
• Java or Python for building RESTful services.
• Relational database knowledge.
