Staff Nurse / Enhanced Nurse – Children’s Respite (Cork)

About the role

Join a dedicated, innovative team delivering respite and holiday breaks for children with disabilities in a 3‑bed community house in Curraheen, Cork. You will provide high‑quality nursing care tailored to the assessed needs of children, young people and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care within a quality framework for children with physical, intellectual disabilities or ASD.
• Assess and meet the health needs of service users and support families.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to promote safe, person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Registered in the Intellectual Disability, Children’s Nurse or General Nurse division of the live Register of Nurses (NMBI).
• Eligible to work in Ireland and able to maintain annual registration.
• For Enhanced Nurse: validated Irish nursing qualification, registration with NMBI, and at least 1 year 16 weeks of relevant post‑graduate experience.
• Desirable experience with children with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, ASD or behaviours of concern.

• Permanent contract with up to 37.5 hours per week.
• Salary range €37,060 – €56,956 pro rata per annum (subject to long‑service increments).
