Staff Nurse – Ward 4A

About the role

Join a dedicated team delivering compassionate care on Ward 4A at Raigmore Hospital. The ward supports patients who are no longer acutely unwell and are awaiting discharge to home or long‑term care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care to primarily elderly patients, with occasional younger admissions.
• Engage patients in stimulating activities to promote wellbeing and recovery.
• Collaborate with the Senior Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Manager and education team to ensure high‑quality care.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in patient‑centred care.
• Ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Willingness to develop skills in holistic and rehabilitative nursing.

Required skills

• Clinical nursing competencies as defined by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
