Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a purpose‑driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the design and execution of responsible, resilient supply chains for our food business. The role bridges internal teams and external partners to ensure quality, availability and ethical standards from farm to consumer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop category strategies that balance commercial objectives with long‑term sustainability.
• Lead fair, transparent sourcing and tender processes, supporting ethical procurement and net‑zero goals.
• Maintain strong financial and commercial governance while focusing on people and impact.
• Build authentic partnerships with suppliers and distributors based on trust and shared objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement through performance reviews, collaboration and open dialogue.
• Ensure product quality, safety and service standards across all food categories.
• Partner with operations and client‑facing teams to align sourcing with logistics, availability and operational realities.
• Communicate change thoughtfully, supporting and informing teams.
• Contribute to regional and global collaboration, sharing best practices.

Required profile

• Experience in foodservice, hospitality, retail or food supply environments.
• Strong background in sourcing or category management, especially fresh or short‑life food categories.
• Commercially astute, ethically grounded and relationship‑focused mindset.
• Strong analytical capability with curiosity and problem‑solving skills.
• Confidence engaging with internal and external partners at all levels.
• Belief that how results are achieved matters as much as the results.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CIPS qualification welcomed but not required.
