Tax Analyst – Corporate & Property Tax (Hybrid)

About the role
Our client, a well‑established public sector body in Dublin, is expanding its tax function and is looking for a Tax Analyst to join the team. The role will focus on Irish corporation tax, VAT and property‑related taxes such as stamp duty, LPT and RCT, working in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment. You will report to senior finance leadership and collaborate with finance, legal, development and IT teams.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and filing VAT, RCT and other tax returns accurately and on time
- Providing tax support and guidance across multiple business functions
- Supporting tax process improvements and automation initiatives
- Assisting with audits and maintaining robust tax documentation
- Partnering with Finance, Operations, IT and Development teams to strengthen compliance processes
- Liaising with external advisors on tax compliance matters
Required profile
- CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification
- 2–4 years of tax experience in practice or industry
- Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation, particularly VAT
- Experience or exposure to real‑estate tax matters (RCT, stamp duty, capital allowances) is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tax matters clearly
Required skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with tax/accounting systems
