Temporary Consultant – Rheumatology & General Internal Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a temporary consultant to join the rheumatology and general internal medicine services within the Health Service Executive (HSE) in Dublin and North East. The position is full‑time and open to both HSE and non‑HSE applicants, offering an opportunity to provide specialist care across a wide geographic area that includes North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient and inpatient clinical services in rheumatology.
• Provide general internal medicine consultations and acute care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HSE standards.

Required profile

• Registered Consultant Rheumatologist and General Physician (Grade 1198) with full HSE eligibility.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in Ireland.
• Commitment to a whole‑time, temporary appointment.

Required skills

• Expertise in rheumatology diagnosis and treatment.
• Broad competence in general internal medicine.
