About the role
The Youth & Community Engagement Worker will support Jigsaw’s mission to promote youth mental health across Waterford. Working full‑time on site, you will facilitate youth voice, coordinate community‑based mental health initiatives, and empower young people to influence service planning.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and evolve Jigsaw’s youth voice and engagement framework.
- Recruit, induct, train and support youth advocates, organising regular meetings.
- Develop youth‑led action plans and evaluate their impact with the Service Manager.
- Strengthen local networks with community organisations to improve mental‑health outcomes for young people.
- Design, deliver and co‑facilitate mental‑health promotion workshops for youth, parents, volunteers and professionals.
- Represent Jigsaw at community forums such as Child and Family Support Networks.
- Produce reports and presentations for diverse stakeholder groups.
Required profile
- Experience in youth engagement and community‑based mental‑health promotion.
- Ability to coordinate workshops, meetings and collaborative projects.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction and reporting.
- Commitment to supporting the wellbeing of youth advocates.
