Automation Software Engineer

About the role

The Automation Software Engineer will design and build applications that connect shop‑floor systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and Batch controllers with enterprise‑level platforms. You will work in a manufacturing environment, delivering both backend services and operator‑focused user interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using C#/.NET.
• Create modern UI components with Vue.js for operator and engineering tools.
• Design, implement, and maintain databases on Microsoft SQL Server, using Entity Framework and Dapper.
• Integrate with industrial devices and vendor systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, FactoryTalk Batch).
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and container orchestration with Kubernetes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional programming or systems‑support experience.
• Strong C#/.NET and SQL development skills with ORM experience.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing software (SCADA, HMI, PLCs) is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Ignition platform and FactoryTalk Batch is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a production‑critical environment.
