DevOps Engineer – Build Cutting‑Edge Scientific Computing Platform

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing deep‑tech company that sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational science and pharmaceutical innovation. The team is building a platform that uses advanced simulation and crystal‑structure prediction to accelerate drug discovery. As a DevOps Engineer you will design and implement the infrastructure that powers this cutting‑edge scientific computing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Orchestrate containerised workloads across distributed clusters, ensuring scalability and security.
• Develop and operate observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to provide real‑time insight into system performance.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as Ansible and manage automation from day one.
• Collaborate directly with R&D scientists and leadership to scale architecture and support experimental workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, platform engineering or site reliability engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise with Docker, Podman or similar container technologies.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and translate complex technical requirements into operational solutions.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, alerting systems.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Ansible.
• Programming/Scripting: Python, Bash.
