DevOps Engineer – Build Cutting‑Edge Scientific Computing Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design and build the infrastructure that powers a fast‑growing deep‑tech company at the intersection of AI, computational science, and pharmaceutical innovation. You will create self‑hosted CI/CD pipelines, orchestrate containerised workloads, and develop observability solutions that enable rapid, safe experimentation in scientific computing.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain self‑hosted CI/CD systems that developers love to use.
• Orchestrate containerised workloads across distributed infrastructure.
• Design and implement observability stacks (metrics, dashboards, alerts) for real‑time system visibility.
• Own infrastructure‑as‑code and automation from day one.
• Collaborate directly with highly technical R&D teams and leadership to scale architecture.
• Foster an environment where innovation moves faster while remaining secure.

Required profile

• Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Confidence working with Docker, Podman, or similar container ecosystems.
• Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or equivalents.
• Hands‑on knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (e.g., Ansible).
• Solid Linux fundamentals and scripting skills.
• Python proficiency for automation and tooling.
• Self‑starter mindset capable of working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
