About the role
Zinkworks is seeking a DevOps Engineer to partner with development teams and drive fast, reliable delivery of applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes. The role focuses on building, operating, and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for cloud‑native, Spring Cloud‑based microservices.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate build, test and deployment processes with development teams.
- Package and deploy applications using Helm on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain containerised applications with Docker.
- Support and optimise Spring Cloud microservices deployments.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment and runtime issues.
- Improve deployment speed, reliability and rollback strategies.
- Implement logging, monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Document technical processes and best practices.
Required profile
- Strong experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands‑on expertise with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Helm chart development and lifecycle management.
- Solid Docker and containerisation background.
- Good understanding of the Spring Cloud ecosystem.
- Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to debug issues across pipelines, containers and clusters.
- Scripting experience in Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
