DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Kubernetes

About the role

Zinkworks is seeking a DevOps Engineer to partner with development teams and drive fast, reliable delivery of applications on OpenShift/Kubernetes. The role focuses on building, operating, and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for cloud‑native, Spring Cloud‑based microservices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate build, test and deployment processes with development teams.
• Package and deploy applications using Helm on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain containerised applications with Docker.
• Support and optimise Spring Cloud microservices deployments.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment and runtime issues.
• Improve deployment speed, reliability and rollback strategies.
• Implement logging, monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Document technical processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on expertise with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Helm chart development and lifecycle management.
• Solid Docker and containerisation background.
• Good understanding of the Spring Cloud ecosystem.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to debug issues across pipelines, containers and clusters.
• Scripting experience in Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
