Finance Business Partner – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Monzo is seeking a Finance Business Partner on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to lead forecasting and financial analysis for its European entity. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive growth, ensure compliance, and deliver a delightful customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for forecasting and analysis across multiple business areas.
• Own the annual budget, forecasts, and multi‑year planning for these areas.
• Prepare management information, insights, and reports for senior leadership, highlighting emerging issues and future challenges.
• Support the development of strategic and tactical initiatives.
• Work independently, building relationships across the business to convey financial perspectives.
• Use financial expertise to drive commercial performance through accurate insights and advice.
• Ensure financials align with short‑ and long‑term business plans.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in the banking or fintech sector (mandatory).
• Proven finance business partnering experience.
• Accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to engage across functions.
• Ability to present data clearly and tailor presentations to audience needs.
• Experience building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience developing business cases and debating investment choices.
• Hands‑on attitude with a passion for supporting teams.
