Freight Forwarding Operator

About the role

BBL Groupe is seeking a proactive Freight Forwarding Operator to join its logistics team in Dublin. You will work with a modern freight system, coordinating a variety of shipment modes while ensuring high service standards for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage jobs in the company’s freight system.
• Coordinate air, road, short‑sea and deep‑sea shipments for clients.
• Liaise with suppliers and carriers to meet service level agreements.
• Prepare consignment paperwork and ensure audit compliance.
• Source freight rates, produce quotations and generate invoicing reports.
• Monitor KPIs and recommend process improvements.
• Keep customers informed of shipment issues and update SOPs.
• Identify and pursue organic business growth opportunities with existing clients.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Experience in a fast‑paced operations environment focused on SLAs and KPIs.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid administrative and organisational abilities.
• Degree‑level qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Required skills

• Transport Management System (TMS) usage.
• Microsoft Excel reporting.
• General IT literacy.
